Merchandise Processor Job Description
General Receiving
- Check mailrooms and all applicable storage areas for new packages
- Open dropped packages and find provided invoices (store and organize in accordion folder when done)
- Check Asana to see if any deliveries should be expected for the day
Process Received Items
- Pull up purchase order in Square; count all items, input items as “received”
- If items are missing, make a note and leave marked as “partially received”, and check the vendor website for later delivery estimates
- Print labels using purchase order for every item received
- Apply barcode labels to every item received
- Divide items up for distribution to different locations and place on designated shelves for outgoing inventory; follow distribution ratios
- Transfer stock count of items in square for each location
- Place items in designated areas in stock room in an orderly manner
- Physically distribute items to each store location
Process Buy / Sell / Trade and Wholesale Vintage
- Tag each item
- Distribute and merchandise on designated racks
- Monitor need for restock at separate locations and physically distribute when necessary
Shipping fulfillment
- Fulfill orders to be shipped for e-commerce store
Stockroom Cleanliness
- Keep organized at all times and help rearrange or reorganize when necessary to accommodate new inventory
