Store Manager / Bar Manager
Garage Sale is looking for a dedicated and experienced full time bar and retail store manager. Must have 2 years of bar management experience and 5 years in the hospitality industry (some knowledge of vintage clothing and small business is a huge plus!).
Garage Sale is a vintage clothing store with over 40 local vendors and a full (kickass) bar so knowledge of both bar and retail is imperative. We specialize in Margaritas, punches, craft cocktails, beer and shots. Knowledge of all drinks is a must with a strong ability to upsell.
Manager duties include:

Oversee all staff and bar operations

Provide excellent customer service

Be aware of customers' intoxication levels

Make sure bar is running smoothly, cleanly and efficiently

Manage and resolve customer complaints

Create weekly staff schedule
-
Cut staff as needed throughout the shift, having no more than 3 employees closing the store at night

Recruit, interview, hire and train all staff

Create and facilitate bi-weekly mandatory training meetings for all staff

Ensure staff is following all f&b safety guidelines and regulations

Schedule batching and make sure batches are ready for weekends and holidays

Ensure staff is always acting in a professional and courteous manner

Be comfortable with writing staff up if staff is not in alignment with Garage Sale ethics and expectations

Order all bar and store supplies: liquor, beer, wine, mixes, bags, cleaning supplies etc for the entire store. Check in with retail lead to make sure retail supplies are ordered as well

Check in weekly with upper management to address questions, concerns

Drive sales by showing enthusiasm for products and concept of store; show interest and knowledge in vintage clothing and small business
Manager Requirements:

Ability to order product and keep a detailed inventory

Budgeting and tracking expenses

Knowledge of effective leadership and management styles

Extensive knowledge of bartending; including beer, wine and liquor

Experience training bar staff
Must be available to work nights, holidays and weekend
Must be eligible work within the United States
